Howdy!
Since I know that one or two of you are eagerly awaiting information...
My name is Barney. yes, I know that no sane set of parents would bless their only son with such a name... my dad was on the outs with his family and thought he could suck up by naming me with this fine traditional name. Other choices were Glennard, Eduard, Roland, Chauncey, Abraham... and it just got worse from there...
I grew up all over the place, Ohio, New Mexico, Florida and then went into the USAF... 32 years later and a bunch of moves I ended up back in Ohio. I currently work as a teacher in a inner city Cleveland.
My main interest is in pre-war and early WW2 single engine aircraft. I am a terrible builder and my skills still do not reach my expectations... PTSD will do that to you. However, I am getting better and hope to actually be able to show something in the near future.
I have three children, three grandkids, 3 dogs, a one-eyed cat and got married this past July. I was in love with her when I deployed in 2006 to Iraq, we talked and agreed to wit until her kids ahd all graduated from HS. She has stood by me for the past 8 years and helped me when I wake up screaming...
I love puppies, moonlight walks along the beach, and hope and pray for world peace...
