Engines are not lining up very good. There is a spur on the mold which in the directions shows it there but the engines will not align properly even with spur removed. Has anyone been at this point before?

After staring at this installation for 2 days I cut the spur (bracket) off and fitted the engine. Still have no idea why that was part of the mold
If anyone comes across the same thing and has a different outcome let me know
